JoAnn Mills Madden

JoAnn Mills Madden, age 79, of Spruce Pine, passed away March 3 at Russellville Health Care.

The visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. March 5 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating was Bro. Billy Quinn. Burial was at Spruce Pine Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Yancy Mills and Mamie Phifer Mills Bentley; grandparents, Will and Pearl Phifer; brother, Billy Mills; granddaughter, Jennifer Scott and husband Kevin; daughter-in-law, Brenda Madden; and father of her children, Martin Madden.

JoAnn leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Ronnie Madden and Mike Madden and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Craig Madden and wife Abby, Michael Madden and wife Christina and Billy Madden and wife Stacey; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Scott, Hayden Madden, Shiloh Madden, Heidi Madden and Cooper Madden; great-great-grandson, Tryton Stone; and numerous cousins and friends.

The pallbearers were Billy Madden, Craig Madden, Wayne West, Hershel Garrison, Mickey Blevins and David Grissom.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of Russellville Health Care for the love and care of our family.
