Otis “Woody” Woods

Otis “Woody” Woods, 86, passed away Feb. 25 at Shoals Hospital, Muscle Shoals. He was born in Alabama and was a truck driver for 45 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Services will be Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay. Brother Gene Franks will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are his siblings, Neda Cole, Maryville, Tenn., George Wood, Hurst, Texas, and Bill Woods and wife Patti, Roseburg, Ore.; a host of nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law, Travis Long and Raymond Long; and one sister-in-law, Diane Long.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Woods.

Visitation will be Feb. 28 from noon to 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
