Scholarship contest seeks essays on texting, driving
As another school semester nears its midpoint, many high school seniors might be pursuing additional sources for college funding. One scholarship essay contest is open until April 21 and promises prizes between $1-2K.
To spread the message about the dangers of texting and driving, Morris, King & Hodge, P.C., is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Driver Safety Scholarship program. The law firm will award three scholarships – $1,000 to third place, $1,200 to second place and $2,000 to first place – to 2017 graduating seniors and/or rising freshmen in Alabama colleges and universities who create an original essay explaining the dangers of texting and driving and practical steps to ending this problem.
Essays should be at least 1,000 words. Submission deadline is April 21, and winners will be announced in May. For more details on essay requirements, application procedure and judging process, as well as any other information, visit http://www.mkhlawyers.com/scholarship/.
