One of America’s top defense contractors, Lockheed Martin, recently donated $500 to help boost the Tharptown High School robotics team.
Lockheed Martin is making an effort to help STEM programs all over the country.
“I am so thrilled that Lockheed Martin has chosen to help our program,” said Marsha Inmon, Tharptown High School’s robotics coordinator. “This will go a long way to helping our program achieve our goals. It is also important that companies like Lockheed Martin recognize small schools like ours.”
Tharptown High School is in the second year of having an established robotics program. The school has participated in the Northwest Alabama robotics competition held at Northwest- Shoals Community College for two consecutive years.
