Archie Ogean “Mutt” Harrison
Archie Ogean “Mutt” Harrison, 84, passed away Dec. 4 at his residence. He was born in Tishomingo County, Miss., and was self-employed as a mechanic.
Services will be Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Roger Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery, Dennis, Miss.
Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Lois Harrison, Red Bay; three children, Kathy Pruitt and Ronnie Harrison, both of Red Bay, and James Tim Harrison, Guntown, Miss.; seven grandchildren, Tyler Harrison, Dillon Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Carrie Harrison Weeks, Rodney Pruitt, Sonia Pruitt McKim and Cynthia Pruitt Strickland; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and five sisters, Lorene Gann, Amory, Miss., Mary Nell Eskew, Jackson, Mo., Ann Fisher, Tishomingo, Miss., Pauline McClain, Sykeston, Mo., and Joyce Putman, St. Louis, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace M. Harrison and Ressie Lee Thrasher Harrison; a son, Larry Harrison; and several brothers.
Pallbearers will be Randy McKim, Dwain Strickland, Melvin Hutcheson, Brannon Hutcheson, Harold Sparks and Thomas Epps. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Pruitt, Trey Daughtry, Aaron Daughtry, Jacob Pruitt, Tyler Harrison and Drew Harrison.
Visitation will be Dec. 6, 6-9 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
