Regional manager Seth Walker, division manager John Keel, Mayor David Grissom, district manager Anna Byrd and restaurant manager Trae Tittle celebrate the opening of Waffle House.

Under the clear blue skies of Russellville, breakfast is served – any hour of the day or night.

District manager Anna Byrd said she and her team were “really excited” to finally welcome the public to Waffle House in Russellville, located on Highway 43 in the Foodland shopping center.

“There’s nothing in this area that is 24 hours,” Byrd said. “And it’s a really friendly town. We have not met a rude person the whole time we have been here.”

Byrd, and restaurant manager Trae Tittle, have high hopes for round-the-clock customers. “You can see our sign from the overpass, so we think there will be a lot of truckers and out-of-town visitors.”

A soft opening Thursday gave breakfasters from a select guest list their first taste of syrupy goodness in Russellville. Waffle House opened to all diners Friday and are currently running the customary 24-hour schedule.
