Horace McKinley Hester, 86, Russellville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Helen Keller Hospital.
Mr. Hester served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Grace Life Church of the Shoals and was a retired rural letter carrier.
There was a graveside service at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Franklin Memory Gardens with Bro. Jerry Pounders officiating.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Randy E. Hester and wife, Sharon; daughter, Felechia Hester Clingan; and granddaughter, Nicole Clingan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Poss Hester; parents, Eugene and Dora Hester; brothers, Thurman O’Neal (T.O.) Hester, J.C. Hester, Hubert Glasgow Hester and Noble Hester.
The honorary pallbearers were the Waterfall Valley Conservation Club Members.
