Phil Campbell 66, Tharptown 53

The Phil Campbell Bobcats pulled away from the Tharptown Wildcats in the fourth quarter in what was a tight game throughout.

Phil Campbell jumped out to a 16-12 first quarter lead.  Tharptown battled back in the second quarter to cut the Bobcats lead to one, 29-28, at halftime.  The Bobcats extended their lead to 44-40 at the end of the third quarter and outscored Tharptown in the final period of play 22-13 to take the win.

Taylor Pace led Phil Campbell with 28 points.  Vickie McAlister added 13 points for the Bobcats.  Others scoring for Phil Campbell were Bethany Harris (9), Abby Davis (6), Harley Voyles (5), Leah Gunderman (4), and Kaylee Ayers (3).

Kaitlyn Vandiver was the only scoring in double figures for Tharptown with 28 points.  Others scoring for the Wildcats were Ashlyn Vandiver (6), Brooke Daniel (5), Savannah Hamilton (4), Haley Malone (4), Jessica Wilson (2), and Amelia Dawson (2).

 

Tharptown 53, Colbert Heights 42

The Tharptown Wildcats outscored the Colbert Heights Wildcats in the first three quarters in route to the 53-42 win.

Tharptown led 51-12 after the opening quarter of play and extended their lead to 30-18 by halftime.  Tharptown added to their lead in the third quarter outscoring Colbert Heights 14-8 and led 44-26 heading into the final period of play.

Jessica Wilson led Tharptown with 24 points.  Haley Malone added ten points for the Wildcats.  Others scoring for Tharptown were Kaitlyn Vandiver (5), Amelia Dawson (4), Savannah Hamilton (4), Linda Bahena (2), Debbie Gomez (2), and Ashlyn Vandiver (2).
