BTCPA dinner theater tickets now on sale

RED BAY – The Bay Tree Council for the Performing Arts in Red Bay will present its first production of the season, “Sorry Wrong Chimney!” by Leo. W. Sears and Jack Sharkey, November 14-17 at Community Spirit Bank’s Weatherford Centre in downtown Red Bay.

A dinner theater will be available Thursday, Nov. 14, but tickets must be purchased in advance. The cost of the dinner and the play is $23, and you may reserve these by calling Beth Hammock at 256-356-9286.

All other tickets will go on sale Monday, Nov. 4, at the Weatherford Centre. You may purchase tickets at the venue or call 256-356-9829 between the hours of 2-4 p.m. on weekdays.

“Sorry Wrong Chimney!” tells the story of David Tuttle, who is moonlighting as a department store Santa so that he can buy his wife a fur for Christmas. He tells her he’s working late at the office, but she finds out he isn’t at the office. A suspected other woman, hypnotism, the notorious Santa burglar Kris Kreigle and his gun toting fiancée, and a confused policeman add up to a rollicking tale that is hilarious Christmas or anytime entertainment.

The cast includes Georgia Jeffreys, Rhett Jackson, Eve DeFoe, Jeff Dick, Mary-Elizabeth Moore, River Dolan, and Jerry Self, with Scotty Kennedy as director and Mary Dyer as stage manager.
