Circus planned for the weekend

The Foster Grandparent Program, which benefits children in Russellville City and Franklin County schools, will host the Carson and Barnes Circus on Oct. 10 and 11 at the North Alabama Fair Grounds in Muscle Shoals at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. each night.

Jessica Latham, director of the Foster Grandparent Program, said they are hosting the circus as a fundraiser to help the program meet their financial needs.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children. Buy one adult ticket and get one child ticket free. Discounted tickets can be purchased beforehand at the following locations: Foster Grandparent Program office in Russellville, Russellville City Hall, Hometown Pharmacy in Russellville, Aunt Bea’s Bakery in Tuscumbia, Family Pharmacy of the Shoals in Tuscumbia, Monkey N Around in Florence and Teresa’s Hair Station in Mt Hope.
