City man charged in January theft

A Russellville man was arrested on Monday after law enforcement officers said he was linked to a burglary that occurred in January.
Randy Charles Hill, 46, 1515 Tyler Ave., Russellville, was charged with second-degree receiving stolen property-disposing of stolen property, Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said.
According to Hargett, a residence in the 2000 block of Wilson Boulevard was burglarized in January.
Hargett said over $800 of high-end fishing tackle was stolen from the residence along with several other items.
Police Lt. Scotty Lowery said while investigators were looking into a separate case this week, officers discovered several items at a local pawn shop that appeared to match descriptions of the stolen property from the Wilson Boulevard break-in.
“After we found the property, the victim in the January break-in positively identified the items as ones that came from his residence,” Lowery said.
Lowery said further investigation led to Hill being developed as a suspect.
He said Hill was formally charged and arrested on Monday afternoon.
Hill is currently in custody at the Franklin County Jail pending a bond revocation hearing in a separate case.
