Bernice Byrd Sockwell, 85, Russellville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.

The visitation will be 10 – 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Billy Thorn. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.

She is survived by her sisters, Earlene Byrd and Nettie Faye Bendall; and four nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Eva Byrd; sister, Excellia Gay, Luvellia Hyde; and brother, Lee Audrey Byrd.
