F.M.I. sales group not up to par in recent company golf outing
The operations team at F.M.I., near Sloss Lake, took on a company sales group in a recent golf outing in Moulton.
On their recent outing last month to nearby Deer Run Golf Course, the Russellville operation’s team once again proved that they not only know how to build quality fireplace’s, but that they also can play some serious golf.
The Operations team lead by Mark Klein finished off the Sales Group on the first playoff hole after being deadlocked during the first 18 holes.
A long, well-placed drive by Klein set up the perfect approach shot the team needed. Keith
Thomas then hit the second shot within 5 feet of the pin and dropped the winning putt for birdie.
Other key members of the operation team were Sam Scarbrough and Tyler James.
The Sale team, made up by golfers from Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina, just could not close the deal on the locals and Klein, who traveled here from California to join his fellow team members.
Scarbrough and James, both of Phil Campbell, remarked, “All our Sale guys do is travel the country and play golf with our customers. We were surprised they were not more prepared.”
Oh well, better luck next year guys.
