Retha Mae Darracott Barnett, 89, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at The Meadows, Fulton, Miss.

She was a native of Red Bay and a seamstress. She was a member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church and attended Mt. Olive United Methodist church for 40 years.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Andy Barnett and Bro. Eugene Stockstill officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olive United Methodist Church Cemetery, Tremont, Miss.

She was a beloved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphard Lewis Barnett, her parents, Ernest Watson Darracott and Edna Tharp Darracott, two brothers, Bill and Elgar Darracott, a sister, Odessa Lucius and an infant sister.

Pallbearers were Corky Barnett, Alan Barnett, John Lucius, Joe Lucius, Timothy Lucius and Chris Payne.
