Leroy A. Olsen, 67, Phil Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at UAB Hospital, Birmingham.

Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Scott officiating. Interment will be in Blackberry Township Cemetery, Elburn, Ill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blue Springs Volunteer Fire Dept., 2585 Hwy 75, Phil Campbell, AL 35581.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Eleanor Olsen; siblings, Michael and Richard Olsen; grandson, Darren Olsen.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Olsen; children, Leroy A. Olsen II, Lori A. Wesley and husband, Jerry; siblings, Barbara Rodriguez, Linda Lopez, Kathy Lopez, Daniel Olsen; four grandchildren, Danielle Wesley, Valerie Olsen, Jerry Wesley, Camber Wesley; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was an active member of Blue Springs Volunteer Fire Department and a devoted Alabama fan.
