Familiar faces back in the furniture business

Some familiar faces have opened the doors to a family-owned business once again in Russellville.

Miller’s Affordable Furniture opened in the former Brumley Furniture building on U.S. 43 next to Rancho Viejo Mexican Restaurant on Nov. 1.

The Miller family owned and operated Miller Furniture in downtown Russellville for 12 years before closing a few years ago and assuming ownership of Miller Hardware.

“I missed seeing the people come in and out every day,” said one of the store’s owners, Jason Miller, who is also a full-time firefighter in Russellville.

“That’s the part of business that my family has always enjoyed the most – being around people and trying to help them find the items they need.”

The store will include a wide array of furnishings to choose from, including bedroom suits, living room suits, recliners, dining room suits and others.

Miller said the store offers PostureCraft, Dumas Furniture, Affordable Furniture and will add many other lines in time.

They also will have in-house financing through Russellville Financial and First Franklin Financial.

Suzy’s Décor has also set up shop in the building, carrying a wide selection of household decorations, candles, pictures and wall mountings.

“I think people will see that we have nice lines of furniture at affordable prices and I think they will appreciate that,” Miller said.

“It’s where quality is always affordable.”

Miller’s Affordable Furniture is open from10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
