Vina man charged with domestic violence

VINA – A Franklin County man was arrested on domestic violence charges on Wednesday night after he threatened to harm himself and his family members.

Bradley Lawrence Tucker, 26, 1276 Highway 247, Vina, was arrested on three counts of third-degree domestic violence, Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver said.

According to Oliver, the sheriff’s office received a call about 9 p.m. Wednesday that Tucker was threatening to shoot himself and his family members.

Oliver said before deputies arrived, they were advised that the family members had left the residence but shots had been fired.

Members of the sheriff’s office and the Franklin County Special Response Team arrived on the scene and determined Tucker had several guns inside the residence and was still acting hostile towards officials.

Oliver said the SRT was able to gain entrance to the house and took Tucker into custody without incident.

The Alabama State Troopers assisted the FCSO and the SRT on the arrest.

Tucker was released on bond from the Franklin County Jail.
