Elinor M. Payne, 67, of Mooreville, Miss. died Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born in Boston, Mass to Kenneth and Anna Benedict Price. She enjoyed reading, writing gospel songs and writing poems.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Ala. with Bro. David Krech officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, David Price, of Golden, and Steve Webb and wife, Patsy, of Mooreville, Miss.; two daughters, Shelley Thompson and husband, Keith, and Nelda Kramer and husband, Greg, both of Mooreville, Miss.; nine grandchildren, Natasha Felks and husband, Chris, Kenny Price, Carl Price, Elana Price, Amber Harris and husband, John, Patrick Thompson, Aaron Thompson, Andrew Thompson and Shane Thompson; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Beatrice Shumaker and Cathryn Shumaker, both of Butler, Ala., Mary Ann Brown, of Spiro, Okla., and Jessie Moore, of Jackson, Ala.; one brother, Mike Price, of Fayetteville, N.C.; one uncle, Jimmy Price, of Knoxville, Tenn..

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Payne; and two children, Carl Payne and Diane Payne.

Pallbearers will be Chris Moore, Jose Moore, Jimmy Shumaker, John Brown, Kenny Price and Chris Felks.
