Handy show to be held at Roxy Thursday

The Franklin County Arts Council is sponsoring the 11th annual “Evening at the Roxy” during the week of W.C. Handy Music Festival on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Entertainment will be presented by local talent featured as the “Great Pretenders.”

Several local performers will be doing their best impressions of classic performers such as James Taylor, Whitney Houston, Patsy Cline, Eric Church, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, Demi Lovato, Bill Monroe, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Ray Price and Tammy Wynette.

Performing in these various roles are local residents Bert Fowler, Danyelle Hillman, Emma McDowell, Ethan Pharr, Jacob Green, Brooklyn Hall, Blaze Bishop, Adam Green, Chase Holland, Haley Peters and Buford Parker. Others include Allegro Country, Mariah Horton, Emily Hester, Matt Montgomery, Lacy Snider, Kaydee Holland, Kody Madden, Dana Crummie, Luke Sheppard and more.

Admission is $5 and proceeds benefit the Roxy restoration.
