Pete Conwill, 68, of Russellville, Ala. passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Silas Oliver officiating. Interment was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Conwill; brother, Larry Conwill and wife, Mary; nieces, Lisa Conwill, Melissa Conwill; nephews, Kris Conwill and wife, Dawn, David Conwill, Ryan Collins; special friend, Dorothy Steward.
He retired from the City of Kankakee, Ill. Police Department as Detective Sergeant. While enjoying retirement he established Conwill Auction Service in Aroma Park Ill., where he was owner and auctioneer. His second career was with the city of Aberdeen Miss. Police Department and retired as a Major.
