Red Devils hosting Addison

VINA — For the second week in a row Vina will play a ranked opponent when the Red Devils host Addison Friday night.

Vina experimented with the offense last week with several players attempting passes, but the Red Devils could only manage one touchdown in the 33-6 loss.

It could be a tough week for the Vina offense this week when it faces a stout Addison defense that has allowed only 20 points this season.

The Red Devil defense held Cherokee to 12 points in the season opener, has given up 93 total points through three games.

Don’t expect the 31 points per game allowed to drop unless Vina can slow Addison’s high-powered running attack. The Bulldogs have averaged 46.7 points per game.

This will be the 13th meeting between these programs with Addison winning the previous 12 games.
