First Baptist Church of Russellville will host their annual Homecoming event tomorrow with services beginning at 10 a.m.
The message will be given by Bro. Danny Knight of Guin, and the music will be performed by Larry Grayson from First Baptist Church of North Augusta, Ga.
Grayson joined the staff of FBCNA in July, 2008 as Associate Pastor of Music and Worship Ministries.
A native of Camden, Arkansas, he has served churches in Arkansas, Alabama and Texas. Most recently, he served for 13 years as Associate Pastor/Music and Worship at First Baptist Church of Lewisville Texas.
Grayson received a Bachelor of Music Education from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He studied at Southwestern Seminary, and completed a Master of Music Education degree from Samford University in Birmingham.
He enjoys being with people, working with students, going to movies and theatre, travel and bicycling on North Augusta's Greeneway.
The passion of Grayson's life is worship.
"Experiencing worship, teaching about worship and leading others to encounter authentic worship. It doesn't get any better than that," Grayson said.
Lynn Sudduth said their will not be Sunday School due to the Homecoming celebration.
The church is celebrating its 142nd year.
There will be a covered dish luncheon after the service in the fellowship hall.
