Rachel Inez Sumeral July 2, 2009

Rachel Inez Sumeral, 93 of Spruce Pine, Alabama passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Terrace Manor Nursing Home. She was a lifetime resident of Franklin County and a member of Belgreen Church of Christ.
Funeral service was Sunday, July 5, 2009, 2:00P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with Jack Henson and Paul Swindle Officiating. Burial will follow in franklin Memory Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 noon until 2:00 P.M.
Survivors include son, Leamon (Shellie) Sumeral; grandchildren, Tilda J. Sumeral, Ginger (James) Guinn, all of Spruce Pine; great grandchildren; Ashley Guinn, Braxton (Katie) Guinn, Casey Guinn; brother, W.T. Sumeral of Spruce Pine, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Guinn, Braxton Guinn, Don Richardson, Don Weiler and Gary Hester.
She was preceded in death by husband, Willard Sumeral; parents, William Cleere Rickard and Arrie Rickard Sumeral; stepfather, Tom Sumeral; brothers, James, Ray and Mitchell Sumeral; sister, Mary Richardson.
The family wishes to thank Dr.Norman and his Staff, Red Bay Hospital and Staff, Terrace Manor Nursing Home and Hospice of North Alabama for the good care they gave to their loved one.
Pinkard Funeral Home Russellville will be directing.
Alton Ray Cole

Alton Ray Cole, 76, of Phil Campbell, Ala. passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Cole was a native of Georgia, but lived most all of his life in Franklin County. He was a deacon and member of Antioch Baptist Church in Phil Campbell. He was retired from Reynolds Metals Company.
Funeral services were held July 15, 2009, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Daniel officiating. Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
Survivors include wife, Betty Jane Camp Cole; children, Danny Ray Cole and wife, Janice, Rhonda Kay Keeton, all of Phil Campbell; grandchildren, Trinity de Anne Cole and Steve Brindley, Charity LeAnne Cole, Katie Keeton and husband, Stuart; great-grandchildren, Stephen Cole Brindley, Alexander Seth Brindley; sisters, Linda Gail Duboise, of Russellville, Frances Camp and Bill Chambers, of Phil Campbell; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, T. A. and Ophelia Cole, brother, Tilman Cole; sisters, Vera Lawler and Vara Burrows.
