A Russellville man entered into a plea agreement with the Franklin County District Attorney's Office just before his trial was scheduled to start.
Assistant District Attorney Doug Evans said Elvis Adam Presley, 23, of Fox Ridge Plaza F-2, in Russellville, plead guilty to second-degree theft of property for stealing a purse from a customer at Wal-mart in March. Items taken from the purse were $40 and a cell phone.
Evans said his office agreed to five-years probation in the case. He was sentenced Thursday.
