Malone no-hits Hamilton

Little did Breanna Malone know when she took the pitcher's mound yesterday that she was about to pitch the first no-hitter of her career as a Lady Tiger.
"We've never had a no-hitter in the history of fast pitch at Russellville," said Coach Ted Ikerd. "Something like this doesn't just happen everyday. Breanna's come close to doing it several times this season, but she's never done it until today."
The Lady Tigers came ready to play, not only exploited Hamilton's defense, but also outscoring them 7-0.
Kendra Clement struck first for the Tigers in the second inning with a double that drove in Lyndi McDuffa to bring the Golden Tigers ahead of the Hamilton Aggies 1-0.
The score would remain 1-0 until Russellville's turn at bat in the third. Kara Sykes scored on a stolen base to bring the score to 2-0
The Lady Tigers were on fire in the fourth inning, scoring five runs in just one inning, and closing the door on any chance of a comeback by the Aggies .
Deryl Gardner struck first for the Lady Tigers, scoring on two stolen bases to bring the score to 3-0.
Kendra Clement, Jessica Malone, and Kara Sykes each scored runs of their own to bring the score to 6-0.
Lyndi McDuffa struck again for the Tigers on a single that drove in Rachel Howard to bring the score to 7-0 at the bottom of the fourth.
