Roland Dobbs, Sr.

Roland "Top" Derral Dobbs, Sr., age 82, of Haleyville, passed away Friday, March 23, 2007, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Mr. Dobbs was a member of Ninth Avenue Church of Christ in Haleyville. He was involved in several business ventures during his life, including Top's Furniture, his plant Top Line, house contracting and real estate brokering.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Ninth Avenue Church of Christ with Andy Kizer officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dennis Bennett, Don McNutt, Lyle Mitchell, Haley Dobbs, Walker Dobbs, Kent Dobbs, Lee Dobbs, Wyn Dobbs, Darwin Dobbs and John Tyler Dobbs. Members of Mr. Dobbs' Bible class served as honorary bearers.
Mr. Dobbs is survived by his wife, Margaret Walker Dobbs; three children, Andrea Oliver of Phil Campbell, Derral Dobbs of Haleyville, and Elaine Duncan of Haleyville; a brother, Josh Dobbs of Haleyville; eight grandchildren, Stephanie White, Jonathan Oliver, Katelyn Tank, Anna-Margaret Tank, Olivia Tank, Trey Dobbs, Matthew Dobbs and Alex Duncan; and two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Brant White.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Ninth Avenue Church of Christ, Fellowship Hall.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
Nolan Hulsey
March 23, 2007
Nolan Hulsey, age 66, of Russellville, passed away Friday, March 23, 2007.
Mr. Hulsey was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Hulsey; his parents, Joe Hulsey and Nellie Scott Hulsey; a brother, Taylor Hulsey, and an infant brother.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2007, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Wayne Boyles officiating. Interment was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Mr. Hulsey is survived by his children, Chad Hulsey, Vince Hulsey, Judy Hulsey, Pam Herring, Steve Jackson and Debbie Barnes; a sister, Sally Davis; a brother, James Hulsey; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Spry Chapel assisted the family.
Annie McNatt

Annie Novella Bendall McNatt, age 88, passed away in Russellville on Sunday, March 18, 2007.
She was born in Russellville on Monday, May 27, 1918 to Marshall Bendall and Annie Grissom Bendall. She was a lifetime member of Jonesboro Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter McNatt; and her parents.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Chad Beck officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Mrs. McNatt is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
Spry Chapel assisted the family.
Raburn Lamar Landers

Raburn Lamar Landers, age 71, of Russellville, passed away Monday, March 26, 2007.
Mr. Landers was a native of Franklin County and a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Maudie Landers; a brother, William Roy Landers; and a sister, Beatrice Landers.
Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Buddy Ellington and Bro. James McCullar officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Bishop, Shannon Smith, Chris Smith, Tony Landers, Emmet Sapp and Tyler Morris. Honorary bearers will be Michael Wellington and the men of the Nazarene Sunday School Class.
Mr. Landers is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carline Landers; a daughter, Leta Smith and husband Rudy Dale, of Russellville; two sons, Eddie Landers and wife Melissa, of Russellville, and Tony Landers and wife Dorthy, of Russellville; a brother, Leon Landers of Russellville; five grandchildren, Shannon Smith, Chris Smith, Tony Landers, Morgan Sapp and husband Emmet, and Sommer Landers; a great-grandchild, Haley Landers; and several nieces and nephews.

Marvin Ray Wilson

Marvin Ray Wilson, age 75, of Russellville, passed away Monday, March 26, 2007, at Helen Keller Hospital.
Mr. Wilson was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of First Church of Nazarene. He was a 1949 graduate of Phil Campbell High School. He was a city councilman from 1984 until 1986 and served as mayor from 1986 until 1988. He also was on the Board of Registrars, Community Action Board and Housing Authority Board, and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Project Help. He was retired from Reynolds Metals Company with 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.V. Wilson, Sr.; two sisters, Polly Wilson McRight and Grace Burnell; and three brothers, Gene Wilson, Paskel Wilson and Jimmy Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2007, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Ellington, Mike Smith and Johnny Mack Morrow officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Mack Morrow, Preston Campbell, Billy Huckaba, Matt James, Tanner Wray and Andrew Bray.
Honorary bearers will be Ike Rogers, James Russell, W.C. Hovater, John O'Neal, Robert Graham, Charles James, Terry Moore, Mike Green, James Baker, Joe Schulte, Harold Scoggins and Johnny Brown.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Betty I. Wilson; a son, Phillip R. Wilson and wife Carolyn, of Russellville; a daughter, Donna James of Russellville; two brothers, Billy Wilson and C.V. Wilson, both of Phil Campbell; four grandchildren, Matt James and wife Stacie, Brooke Wray and husband Tanner, Clay Wilson and Casey James; and two great-grandchildren, Alexis McNatt Wray and Paxton Wray.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
