Russellville student honored at banquet

Russellville High School student Sasha Willingham was among the area students honored at the Nu Eta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Finer Womanhood Scholarship Banquet.
The banquet was held recently at the University of North Alabama Guillot University Center.
Willingham plans to attend Jacksonville State University.
The theme of the banquet was "Zetas Celebrating Sisterhood and Service: Shaping Lives and Building Communities". The sorority presented Community Service Awards to Tori Bailey, General Manager of WZZA, Lt. Col. Arthur D. Graves, Russellville native Don Willingham, Director of Thompson and Son Funeral Home, and Senator Roger Bedford, Chairperson of the Back to Basic Skill Life Center.
The Outstanding Senior Awards were presented to Mr. Fred Johnson, Mrs. Elnora Montgomery Shaw, and Mrs. Jean Graves.
Mrs. Ida Crawford is the banquet speaker. She is a life member of Zeta Phi Beta sorority, and a member of Delta Omega Zeta chapter in Huntsville, Alabama.
Mrs. Crawford is a retired educator in the field of Library Media. NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center has recognized her for distinguished service to NASA Education division.
