Carolyn B. Lane

Carolyn B. Lane, age 67, of Cullman, passed away Monday, February 26, 2007.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, H.D. Lane; a daughter, Serina Sharpston; her parents, Milo Brown and Jane Kingston Brown; a sister, Barbara Johnson; and a grandson, Scotty Jones.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Rowe Wren officiating. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Lane is survived by three daughters, Clara Konrad and husband Jerry, Sharon Jenkins, and Doris Neese and husband David; a brother, Harold Brown and wife Sandy; five granddaughters, Angela Jones, Brenda Ray and husband Phillip, Shannon Geotz, Christina Garcia and husband Joe, and Genea Powell; two grandsons, Jake Barlow and Jeremy Jenkins; eleven great-grandchildren, Phillip Ray, Jr., Adam Ray, Amanda Konrad, DeWayne Ray, Stephen Ray, Christopher Ray, Chrystal Ray, Joey Garcia, Jayle Garcia, Ashley Houseick and Zackery Geotz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lie of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in the memory of Barbara Johnson.

Mary A. Sumerel Richardson

Mary A. Sumerel Richardson, age 78, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Richardson was a native of Franklin County. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley E. Richardson; a daughter, Sara E. Richardson; her parents, Tom and Arrie Sumerel; and three brothers, James Sumerel, Ray Sumerel and Mitchell Sumerel.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny and Jackie Richardson officiating. Interment was in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Belgreen.
Pallbearers were Don Weiler, Dennis Denton, Bill Norris, Chuck Rink, Jason Hill and Chris Norris.
Mrs. Richardson is survived by six children, Jerry Don Richardson and wife Nancy, of Florence, Sandra Weiler and husband Don, of Belgreen, Shirley Norris and husband Bill, of Grafton, OH, Randall Richardson and wife Paulette, of Wadsworth, OH, Susan Denton and husband Dennis, of Natural Bridge, and Rebecca Rink and husband Chuck, of LaGrange, OH; a brother, W.T. Sumerel of Belgreen; a sister, Inez Sumerel of Belgreen; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jean Waide Shehi

Jean Waide Shehi, age 62, of Hoover, passed away on February 20, 2007, in Birmingham.
Mrs. Shehi was a graduate of University Hospital School of Nursing and practiced for many years as a psychiatric nurse with Birmingham Psychiatry PA and Central Alabama Psychiatry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Susie Waide; a son, Rusty Womble; and a brother, Donald Waide.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at Southern Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment followed in the Southern Heritage Mausoleum.
Mrs. Shehi is survived by her husband of 17 years, Lyle Edward Shehi, MD; two daughters, Gale Burch and husband Tab, of Hoover, and Cindy Chafin and husband Brian, of Helena; four grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Burch of Hoover, and Mackenzie and Brody Chafin of Helena; her aunt, Emogene Mayfield of Russellville; and two nephews, Chad and Robert Waide of Muscle Shoals.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church, for children's building program, 2541 Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham, AL 35243.
