Edwards powers Belgreen sweep

Jesse Edwards hit a tie-breaking three-run homer in the fifth inning on Saturday as Belgreen finished off a doubleheader sweep of New Site (MS) with a 10-7 win.
Edwards went 3-for-3 with four RBIs, breaking a 7-7 tie in the top of the fifth with his first home run of the season.
Shane Fretwell, Jordan Williams and Will Washington each had two hits for the Bulldogs (2-3). Fretwell earned the win in relief.
In the first game, Kalan McNatt had two hits and Fretwell drove in two runs as Belgreen beat New Site 5-4. McNatt picked up the win, striking out three.
Belgreen will return to action on Friday with a game against Speake at Red Bay High School. The Bulldogs will face Center Hill (MS) and Tremont (MS) on Saturday.
