Local Cub Scouts seeking memorabilia for reunion

Russellville's Cub Scout Pack 39 is asking former scouts for memorabilia for their 46th pack reunion.
"Pack 39 has been apart of the Cub Scouts for 46 years and we want to celebrate with a reception," Cubmaster Elliott Gordon said.
The reunion is set for Sunday, Sept. 9 at the First United Methodist Church.
The pack's former and current scouts are invited to attend the reception to celebrate, Gordon said.
"We want to display as much memorabilia as possible at the reception so we are asking any former pack 39 scout, or their family, to bring it by the church for the reunion," Gordon said.
Pictures, programs, old derby cars, old uniforms, badges, or any other pack 39 memorabilia will on display.
"If we can copy the item, we will make copies and return it promptly, and the uniforms and other memorabilia will be returned after the reunion,' Gordon said.
The pack meets twice a month at the church and has at least one activity per month for the boys. The pack currently has 54 scouts and 14 leaders, Gordon said.
"To put our size in prospective, the average size of a pack is about 15 scouts," Gordon said.
In addition to the celebration reception planned for later in the year, the pack will celebrate 76 years of Cub Scouting tomorrow night at their Blue and Gold Banquet at the Park and Recreation Center in Russellville.
'We will be giving out several awards and performing skits at the event," Gordon said.
The members of Pack 39 recently held their Scout Skate, where they learned the different ways to skate, how to brake and skating safely. The boys earned their skating beltloop and skating pin.
