Junior guards Siran Winston and Cory Trapp represented Russellville on the Class 5A, Area 16 boys All-Area team, announced at the conclusion of last week's area tournament at Decatur High School.
Trapp opened the season with a bang, making nine three-pointers and scoring 32 points against Haleyville in the first game of the year.
He made nine threes in a game on two more occasions, both against Colbert County, and finished the season averaging better than 16 points per contest.
Trapp topped the 30-point mark twice and scored 20 or more points in a half-dozen other games.
Winston was the trigger man for Russellville's high-octane attack, leading the team in assists and also averaging double-figures in scoring.
He also ranked among the team leaders in free throw percentage and three-pointers made.
Other members of the Class 5A, Area 16 All-Area team were Rico Pickett, Jarodaius Willingham, G Redus and Mark Mason from Decatur; Ralston Turner, Greg Johnson, Bryant Starkey and Reed Morgan from Muscle Shoals; and Justin Pitts and Larquis Crutcher from Athens.
Russellville lost to Decatur in the semifinals of the Class 5A, Area 16 tournament.
The Golden Tigers finished the season with a record of 19-8.
