Mike Self, Franklin County Times
Cold Springs used some hot third-quarter shooting to pull away from Red Bay for a 64-44 win in Thursday's Class 2A sub-regional matchup.
The fifth-ranked Lady Eagles (25-5) made six three-pointers in the third as part of a 23-6 run that turned a three-point game into a rout.
Red Bay (20-11) led 21-17 midway through the second quarter before Cold Springs rallied to take a 26-23 halftime lead.
The Lady Eagles kept the momentum going by opening the second half on an 11-0 run to push the lead to 37-23.
Britan Bolding hit a three for Red Bay, but Cold Springs answered by making four straight treys to blow the game open.
Chelsey McWilliams led the Lady Tigers with 19 points, and Brittany Scott added 16.
Jessi Harbison and Georgia Myrex each had 19 points to lead Cold Springs.
Justin Graves of the Cullman Times contributed to this report.
