Police chase ends in arrest

A Russellville man was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after trying to elude police.
The chase began around 6:20 a.m. on Highway 243 near the Russellville Industrial Park. James David Enbrey, 21, of 4367 Highway 43, Russellville, was taken into custody after trying to ditch his car on Alexandria Road, near the East Franklin Community, Police Chief Chris Hargett said.
Enbrey fled on foot when officer caught up with him, Hargett said.
Enbrey was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment, reckless driving, attempt to elude police, running stop sign, speeding, failure to signal, improper passing, no insurance, and driving while license suspended.
He remains in the Russellville City Jail on a $6,000 bond; $1,000 for each count of reckless endangerment, and $500 for each of the other traffic violations.
