Laminate wood company coming to Russellville

The Franklin County Industrial Development Board voted yesterday to grant a 10-year property tax abatement to American Laminated Products, effectively signaling the arrival of the county's newest manufacturer and employer.
The company will bring with it 10 to 15 new jobs to the Russellville Industrial Park with eyes toward future growth.
"Our standard business model calls for a 100,000 square-foot facility and typically employs about 120 people," Miller Wood Products CEO Robert Miller said. Miller said the training of personnel would begin Wednesday of next week and the company already has pending orders for the facility.
"We hope to start production by mid-February," he said.
Stuart Miller, the local executive, said the company was already looking to expand its Russellville operation.
"We hope double the size of the plant in a very short period of time," he said.
Tax abatements are typically offered by cities and counties to new and existing businesses as incentive to locate to their area or expand their operation.
