The Country Cottage will host a fundraiser next month for the Junior/Senior Prom at Russellville High School.
The Country Cottage will serve a homemade barbeque meal to the community. Meals can be picked up on Friday, Feb. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m., Betty Chesnut, Managing Director for the Cottage, said.
"We are really looking forward to the fundraiser being a success again this year," Chesnut said.
Tickets for the meal cost $5 each and are available at RHS, Chesnut said.
The Country Cottage's residents are involved in the community at every age levels. Prom is a big event for juniors and seniors at RHS, and the Cottage is pleased to be able to help make the night special for them, Chesnut said.
"Many of the students at Russellville High School are part of HOSA and the Honor Society, and we appreciate that they volunteer their time at the Country Cottage," Chesnut said.
"We enjoy the relationship with the youth in the community and the resident's at the Cottage."
This is the eighth year the Country Cottage has hosted the fundraiser for the RHS Prom. The meal includes barbeque, beans, Texas Toast and a pickle.
"I really want to encourage the community to support our effort to raise money for Prom 2007," Chesnut said.
