Donny S. Bolton, age 56, of Red Bay, passed away Monday, January 1, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Bolton was born May 1, 1950, in Memphis, TN, to U.L. Bolton, Sr. and Irene Carr Bolton. He was a carpet layer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. J.C. Blackburn officiating. Interment was in Dempsey Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Billy Joe Bolton, Joe Alchimawicz, Josh Ruple, Darrell Roe, Josh Roe and Richard Pickens.
Mr. Bolton is survived by three children, Kristy Martin and Jason Bolton, both of Florence, and Bridget Bolton of Mobile; four grandchildren, Tiffini, Melodie, Damontae and Keontre; three brothers, Bobby DeVaney and wife Virginia, of Mobile, Larry Bolton and wife Helen, of Orlando, FL, and U.L. Bolton, Jr. and wife Teresa, of Gatlinburg, TN.

Delila Burns Dees

Delila Burns Dees, age 84, of Belmont, MS, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Mrs. Dees was born February 16, 1922, in Tishomingo County, MS, to Alexander and Beulah Nunley Burns. She was a homemaker and a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was formerly a resident of the Pleasant Site Community for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Dees; her parents; a daughter, Martha Schade; a grandson, Joe Schade; and two brothers, Boyd Burns and Buddy Burns.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. William McClellan officiating. Interment was in Halltown Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mrs. Dees' grandsons, Michael Dees, Greg Dees, Anthony Comi, Richard Comi, John Schade and Tim Schade.
Mrs. Dees is survived by four children, Gary Dees and wife Delores, of Red Bay, Thomas Dees and wife Vickie, of Golden, MS, Jackie Harris of Norfolk, VA, and Johnnie Mae Comi of Belmont, MS; one sister, Reba White of Red Bay; three brothers, Owen Burns of Red Bay, Gene Burns of Tremont, MS, and Olen Burns of Olive Branch, MS; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

Fay Hellums Stepp

Fay Hellums Stepp, age 81, of Red Bay, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2006, at Red Bay Hospital.
Mrs. Stepp was born in Mississippi on August 11, 1925, to Wallace Ernest and Arba Moore Hellums. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Red Bay and worked at Blue Bell for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Adell Stepp, Sr.; her parents; and one brother, Tom Hellums.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 1, 2007, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. A.G. Stepp officiating. Interment was in Belmont City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Stacy Stepp, Brad Stepp, Bennie Wynn, Kevin Smith, Terry Manecke and Thomas Armstrong.
Mrs. Stepp is survived by six children, Don Brown and wife Jan, of Kansas City, KS, Peggy Manecke and husband Terry, of Huntsville, Dickie Stepp and wife Brenda, of Moulton, Horace Stepp and wife Janice, of Belmont, MS, Wilma Wynn and husband Bennie, of Nashville, TN, and Adell Stepp, Jr. and wife Dianna, of Killen; two brothers, Charles Hellums of Golden, MS, and Wally Hellums and wife Charlotte, of Red Bay; one sister, Ernesteen Armstrong of Red Bay; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
