Local woman hurt in accident

A Russellville woman is listed in critical condition after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident Wednesday afternoon.
Paula Posey was flown by helicopter to Huntsville Hospital after her car left West Lawrence Street in Russellville. The car struck a telephone pole and turned over during the accident, Chris Hargett, Russellville Police Chief, said.
The Russellville Fire Department was also called to the scene and used the Jaws of Life apparatus in order to free Posey from the vehicle, Hargett said.
Posey was listed in critical condition at Huntsville Hospital at pres time.
