Trapp leads RHS boys past Indians

Cory Trapp made nine three-pointers in a game for the second time this season, finishing with 32 points on Friday as Russellville remained undefeated with a 97-63 rout of visiting Colbert County.
Trapp, who also hit nine treys in the season-opener against Haleyville last Friday, finished 9-for-17 from beyond the arc against the Indians.
Justin Thorne added 22 points for the Golden Tigers (4-0), and Jermaine Bates had 17. Terence Smith finished with nine, and Siran Winston had six.
DeMarcus Underwood led Colbert County with 16 points.
Russellville will put its unbeaten record on the line Monday night against Hazlewood in the TimesDaily Classic.
In other action:
Red Bay 57 New Site (MS) 46
Chris Frame had 16 points on Friday to lead the Tigers to their fourth straight win.
Red Bay (5-5) trailed by two before out-scoring New Site 24-11 in the fourth quarter.
Ethan Davis and Jesse James each added nine points for the Tigers, and Derrick Miller and Pablo Makepeace each had seven. Justin Page finished with six.
Jerrett Wildmon led New Site (4-12) with 18 points.
Phillips 55 Vina 31
Tony Jennings led the Red Devils with eight points in Friday's loss.
Morgan McCarley added six points for Vina, which trailed by four before being out-scored 16-6 in the second quarter and 19-11 in the third.
Adam McCarley and Scott Sutherland each had 11 points to lead Phillips (6-2).
R.A. Hubbard 91 Tharptown 36
Jacob Parker led the Wildcats with 13 points in Friday's loss.
Darius Grant had 16 points to lead the Chiefs, who jumped out to a 23-4 lead after one quarter.
