Faith Mission needs more gifts

While the deadline to deliver gifts at Faith Mission for their Christmas Adopt-A-Dove project has expired, they will be accepting donations until Dec. 23.
As of Friday afternoon the Mission had hundreds of gifts to be delivered, but there is still a need for more because they literally have hundreds more that need gifts, Cheryl Mangino, Mission volunteer, said.
"We never turn down a donation, and we always have people come to here on the last day and say that they don't have anything for their children, and we cannot just turn them away," Mangino said.
The Mission primarily needs gifts for the older children beginning from age eight through 17. Mission volunteers always have to go out and purchase last minute, Mangino said.
The Mission will be open tomorrow accepting more donations, and sorting the gifts to be distributed.
