PC teams fall to Haleyville

Brett Thomas had 14 points on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough for Phil Campbell as the Bobcats fell to Haleyville 62-51 in their season-opener.
Patrick Brown had 21 points to lead the Lions, who jumped out to an 18-6 lead after one quarter. Phil Campbell (0-1) trailed 35-23 at the half and 48-33 after three quarters.
Tanner Maddox finished with 11 points for the Bobcats, and Caleb Thompson had nine.
Lance Gravitt added 13 points for Haleyville.
Phil Campbell played at Belgreen Thursday and will travel to face Phillips tonight.

Haleyville 80 Phil Campbell 41
Chasity Morgan led the Lady Bobcats (0-1) with 16 points in Tuesday's season-opener.
Katti Miller had 14 points to lead Haleyville, which out-scored Phil Campbell 23-6 in the second quarter to open up a 44-19 halftime lead.
Shelly Cooper added 11 points for the Lady Bobcats, and Jessica Taylor had nine.
Emily Taylor finished with 12 points for Haleyville.
Phil Campbell will play at Phillips tonight.
