Mary W. Britton, age 78, of Marshall, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at Life Care-North Hospital in Shreveport, LA.
Mrs. Britton was born in Newton County, Texas, on August 4, 1928. She was a Registered Nurse, working from 1946 to her retirement in 2003. She was a Methodist. She married James Hollis Britton on December 21, 1946, in Tuscumbia, AL. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles Weeks and Mary Ima Robinson Weeks.
Private memorial services for Mrs. Britton will be held at a later date, with arrangements by the Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home of Marshall, Texas.
Mrs. Britton is survived by four children, Barbara Smith, Pasty Vinson, James H. Britton, Jr. and David Britton; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
