Cranford Oneal Hester, Teresa L. Johnson, Elsie Gilbert Pennington, Aldolfo Luna Rios, Brenda Gail Six, Virginia Mae Throgmorton

Cranford Oneal Hester of Downers Grove, Illinois, and formerly of Franklin County, passed away recently.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006, at the Toon Funeral Home in Downers Grove. Interment was in Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, Illinois.
Mr. Hester was a beloved husband of 56 years to Ruby Gladys Fuller Hester; the loving father of Randall Hester and wife Connie, Lorinda Kuzelis and husband Raymond, and Rodney Hester and wife Chris, all of Downers Grove; the cherished grandfather of Daniel, Michael, Travis and Tyler Hester; the devoted great-grandfather of two; and the dear brother of Shellie Sumerel and husband Leamon and Dorothy Landford and husband Bob.
Toon Funeral Home assisted the family.
Teresa L. Johnson, age 43, of Golden, Mississippi, passed away Friday, April 7, 2006, at NMMC in Tupelo.
Mrs. Johnson was born August 27, 1962, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Leabert and Tina Reed Darracott. She was employed at Schnadig Corporation as a sewing operator and attended Calvary Family Worship Center for 31 years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Trina Adkison; and her father-in-law, Tulon Johnson.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006, at Calvary Family Worship Center with Bro. Gene Cooley and Bro. Mose Tipton officiating. Interment was in Red Bay City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mrs. Johnson's nephews, Darrell Darracott, Rev. Tony Darracott, Eric Darracott, Zachary Humphries, Chris Darracott and Grant McKinney. Matthew Darracott was an honorary bearer.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of 28 years, Michael Johnson; two daughters, Pamela Wallace and husband Ashley and Heather Mills and husband Duston, both of Golden; two grandchildren, Bryson Wallace and Andrew Wallace; a very special extended family and their daughter, Stephen Loague and wife Bridget and daughter Abigail Loague of Florence; her parents; four brothers, Joe Darracott and wife Linda and Billy Darracott and wife Amy, both of Red Bay, Lewis Darracott and wife Teresa, of Dorsey, and Reagan Darracott and wife Missy, of Russellville; two sisters, Denise Humphries of Gurley and Kathy McKinney of Red Bay; her mother-in-law, Vernell Johnson of Golden; her brother-in-law, Larry Adkison of Sheffield; a special friend, Shelia Hopson of Hamilton; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Elsie Gilbert Pennington, age 80, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006.
Mrs. Pennington was a native of Lawrence County and a member of Ligon Springs Church of Christ. She retired from Flower Craft after more than 32 years of service. She volunteered at the Russellville Hospital and was an active member of Littleville Senior Citizens Center. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Mrs. Pennington was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Pennington, Sr.; a son, Ricky Pennington; her parents, Ernest and Ruth Gilbert; two sisters, Edna Tyler and Era McPhearson; two brothers, E.C. Gilbert, Jr. and J.W. Gilbert; and a son-in-law, Bobby Ray Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, in Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lonnie Oldag and Bro. Brad Pennington officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Pennington's grandsons.
Mrs. Pennington is survived by two sons, Robert Lee Pennington of Nashville, Tennessee, and Stephen Douglas Pennington and wife Patsey, of Russellville; two daughters, Peggy Victory and husband Jerry, of Russellville, and Judy Hamilton of Russellville; a daughter-in-law, Dottie Pennington of Florence; three sisters, Earlene Pennington and husband Bill, of Russellville, Sandra Pace of Russellville, and Gail Hamann and husband Bob, of Butternut, Wisconsin; two brothers, Carl Gilbert and wife Opal, of Russellville, and Kenneth Gilbert of Tuscumbia; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Shoals Hospital.

Aldolfo Luna Rios, age 49, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Rios was a native of Mexico and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Russellville. He moved here three years ago from Phoenix, Arizona.
Mr. Rios is survived by his wife, Ana Maria Jimenez of Russellville; his parents, J. Trinidad Luna and Reina Rios; his children, Juan Luna, Ma Rosario Luna, Leonel Luna and Adriana Luna; his step-children, Javier Jimenez, Guiselda Jimenez, Alejandro Jimenez, Anastecio Jimenez and Yoelda Vargas; his brothers and sisters, Juana Luna, Carmen Luna, Ma Luz Luna, Amelia Luna, Oliva Luna, Alicia Luna, Jose Luis Luna, Daniel Luna, J. Jesus Luna, Roberto Luna, and Jose Goulolupe Luna; and his step-grandchildren, Jacquelin Vargas, Omar Vargas, Christian Vargas, Iris Vargas and Jesus Javier Vargas.

Brenda Gail Six, age 52, of Red Bay, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Six was born May 13, 1952, in Alabama to Nathan and Iva Robinson Lofton. She was a nurse's aid for the Care Center of Red Bay, a member of the Eastern Star, and of the Pentecostal Faith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Wayne Lofton; and her mother.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Hollis Boyd, Bro. Carlton Lofton, Sr. and Bro. Eddie Lofton officiating. Interment was in Red Bay City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Terry Wilemon, Michael Wilemon, Carlton Lofton, Jr., Barry Lofton, Terry Wilemon, Jr. and Anthony Patterson.
Mrs. Six is survived by her husband, Donald R. Six, Sr.; two sons, Donald R. Six, Jr. and wife Christy, of Belmont, and Emery W. Six of Red Bay; a daughter, Jennifer Nichols Six and fiance Ellis E. Cromeans, of Red Bay; a brother, Carlton Lofton, Sr. and wife Betty Carol, of Red Bay; her father, Nathan Lofton of Red Bay; four grandchildren, Kaitlin Elizabeth Cromeans, Bayden Skylar Six, Emery Duncan Six and Lillian Phebe Six; and a daughter-in-law, Pamela L. Six.

Virginia Mae Throgmorton, age 77, of Vina, passed away Friday, April 7, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Throgmorton was born April 18, 1928, to Bryce and Minnie Nelson Hester, Sr., in Alabama. She was a homemaker and member of Atwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Throgmorton; a son, Barry Throgmorton; one brother, Cecil Hester; and one sister, Sibyle Tharp.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Nathan Davidson officiating. Interment was in Old Burleson Cemetery.
Mrs. Throgmorton is survived by one son, Dwight Throgmorton of Vina; three sisters, Charlene Moore of Dadeville, and Ruby Mullins and Betty Hester, both of Vina; one brother, Bryce Bonds Hester, Jr. of Vina; and many nieces and nephews.
