    Earline Davis Berry, Herman Ray Cagle, David Terry McCurley, Herbert A. Moses, Ellis W. Nix, Pamela Sue Russell, Ruby V. Scott

    Earline Davis Berry, age 88, of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Hendrix Health Care.
    Mrs. Berry was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton D. Berry.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2006, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Glenn Wood and Dr. Jim Cooley officiating. Interment was in Liberty Grove Cemetery.
    Mrs. Berry is survived by two children, Harold Berry and wife Gail, of Florence, and Pat Berry of Haleyville; a grandson, Todd Berry and wife Sandy, of Littleville; and four sisters, Vernell Pierce of Jasper, Billie Parris of Tuscaloosa, Edna Bryson of Gadsden, and Doris Berry of Florence.
    Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Herman Ray Cagle, age 70, of Phil Campbell, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
    Mr. Cagle was preceded in death by his father, Sillie Sylvester Cagle; his mother, Evie Lyzella Dooley; his wife, Nadean Cagle; a brother, Billard Cagle; and a sister, Martha Harris.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Rayburn Whitman officiating. Interment was in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
    Mr. Cagle is survived by five children, Kenneth Cagle, Charlie Cagle, Gary Beck, Dianne Raymond and Kathy Pate; three brothers, Phillip Dooley, F.D. Dooley and L.J. Dooley; a sister, Bithie Dooley; fourteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
    Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
    David Terry McCurley, age 65, of Red Bay, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006, at his residence.
    Mr. McCurley was born August 23, 1940, in Alabama to Tom and Abbie Deason McCurley. He was an electrician for the city of Sylacauga for 38 years and was a Baptist.
    Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Turbyfill officiating. Interment was in Salem Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Ray Federal, Josh Hill, Joel Hill, Gaither Cleveland, Roger Page and Freeman Page.
    Mr. McCurley is survived by his wife of 17 years, Elaine Morris McCurley; two sons, Calvin McCurley and wife Renae, and David McCurley and wife Pam, both of Sylacauga; one sister, Louise McMahon of Sylacauga; three grandchildren, Kayla McCurley, Nick McCurley and K.J. McCurley; one step-son, Frankie Devall and wife Misty, of Fulton, Mississippi; one step-daughter, Gwen Hill and husband Charles, of Fairview, Mississippi; five step-grandchildren, Hunter Devall, Shelby Devall, Amanda Johnson, Josh Hill and Joel Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
    Herbert A. Moses, age 75, of Red Bay, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Helen Keller Hospital.
    Mr. Moses was born December 6, 1930, in Itawamba County, Mississippi, to William Arthur and Rosie Rogers Moses. He was retired from Darrel Harp Enterprises as a salesman. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Hilda Frost and Hazel Frost; and three brothers, Horace Moses, Harold Moses and Hoyt Moses.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Turbyfill officiating. Interment was in Red Bay City Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Mr. Moses' nephews.
    Mr. Moses is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gola Moses; one daughter, Marilyn Bates and husband Phil, of Tupelo, Mississippi; one son, Wayne Moses and wife Judy, of Red Bay; two sisters, Helen Morgan of Tuscumbia and Harriett Oestreich and husband Danny, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois; four grandchildren, Wendy Sparks of Belmont, Mississippi, Carla Moses and Cayla Moses, both of Red Bay, and Chad Moses of Muscle Shoals; one great-grandson, Kyle Sparks of Belmont, Mississippi; two sisters-in-law, Dessie Johnson and Mary Nell Wood, both of Fulton, Mississippi; one brother-in-law, Lowell Frost of Red Bay; and a host of nieces and nephews.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northside Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 332, Red Bay, AL 35582.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Ellis W. Nix, age 61, of Phil Campbell, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Russellville Hospital.
    Mr. Nix was a lifelong resident of Franklin County. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Phil Campbell and had worked for Cavalier Homes. He was preceded in death by a son, Derek Wayne Nix.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Phil Campbell with Jerry Hester and Scott Moore officiating. Interment was in Phil Campbell Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Bob Swinney, Richard Habada, Eric Hallman, Brent Nix, Joey Harbin, Jeff Halcomb, Randy Ergle and Chris Newell.
    Mr. Nix is survived by his wife, Dorothy Nix; four brothers, Bobby Nix, Jackie Nix, Tommy Nix and Mike Nix, all of Phil Campbell; four sisters, Doris Rogers of DeKalb, Illinois, Maxine Burgess of Enid, Oklahoma, Dean Wadley of Kodak, Tennessee, and Linda McMicken of Phil Campbell; a sister-in-law, Alice Vandiver of Muscle Shoals; many friends, nieces, nephews, and three special babies, Grace Lyn, Cameron and Brodie Derek.
    Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Pamela Sue Russell, age 45, of Russellville, passed away Monday, March 13, 2006.
    Mrs. Russell was a member of the Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Rena Whittaker.
    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Daniels officiating. Interment will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
    Mrs. Russell is survived by her husband, Earl &#8220William” Russell; and her son, Joshua Russell of Russellville.
    Akins Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Ruby V. Scott, age 80, of Hodges, passed away Monday, March 6, 2006, at Russellville Hospital.
    Mrs. Scott was born August 17, 1925, in Atwood to Elick and Sarrah McKinney Bohannon. She was a member of Sparks Chapel Church of Christ and a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Vester Scott on October 3, 2004; her parents; and three sisters and two brothers.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Sparks Chapel Church of Christ with Bro. Andy Cansler officiating. Interment was in Sparks Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Cody Allen, Roger Scott, Hoyt Grissom, Michael Scott, Dorvan Gober and Ronald Gober.
    Mrs. Scott is survived by one son, James Scott and wife Connie, of Hodges; one daughter, Sarah Ann Scott of Hodges; two sisters, Betty Jo Oliver of Phil Campbell and Maxine Rea of Haleyville; one brother, Gene Bohannon of Golden, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Michael Scott and wife Kim and Tayna Allen, both of Hodges, and Chris Scott of Atlanta; and six great-grandchildren, Michael Brent Scott, Cody Allen, Eric Allen, Clint Reist, Bradley Reist and Katherine Reist.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
