10 arrests made in Red Bay

A cooperative effort between the Franklin County Sheriff's Department and the Red Bay Police Department resulted in 10 arrests over the past week in an Internet-related illegal drug scheme, Sheriff Larry Plott said.
Investigators said they received information that local residents were receiving illegal controlled substances by filling out questionnaires on the Internet, using their own names, names of other people without their permission and false names.
The residents then received the drugs via a national delivery service.
Law enforcement agents seized approximately 970 hydrocodone pills in the round-up, with an estimated street value of almost $7,000. Agents also seized two firearms and $1,300 in cash.
