Carl Allen Beecher, age 53, of Lima, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 1, 2005.
Mr. Beecher was a former resident of Russellville.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Cincinatti, Ohio. Interment will follow.

Essie V. Boyd
Essie V. Boyd, age 73, of Golden, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Helen Keller Hospital.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi, to Claud and Nona Pearson Wallis and was a nurse for the Northeast Care Center in Zion, Illinois, for 10 years. She was a member of the Red Bay Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and two sisters; an infant daughter; and a step-son, Anthony Wayne Boyd.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Larry Glen and Bro. Hollis Boyd officiating. Interment was in Providence Cemetery in Tremont, Mississippi.
Pallbearers were David Rogers, Elliott Hughes, Alan Boyd, Randy Hughes and Ralph Grimes.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband of 27 years, John "Junior" Boyd; a daughter, Kay Hughes and husband Randy, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois; a son, Gary Ralph Grimes and wife Kim, of Ohatchee; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-children, Alan Boyd and wife Janette, Phoelicia Jackson and husband Lloyd, Jolene Enis and husband Kenneth, and Annette Rogers and husband David, all of Red Bay; six step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Hoyt A. Campbell
Hoyt A. Campbell, age 77, of Haleyville, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Mr. Campbell was a retired truck driver and a member of Thorn Hill Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Seab and Beatrice Campbell; and five brothers and sisters, Earl Campbell, Clara Campbell, Lecil Campbell, Arvis Campbell and Imojean Hunter.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Dr. Jim Cooley officiating. Interment was in Thorn Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Irene Moore Campbell; two sons, Randall Campbell and Howard Campbell, both of Haleyville; two brothers, Horace Campbell and Arlin Campbell, both of Haleyville; four sisters, Mary Ellen Ables of Moulton, Betty Sue Daniel of Haleyville, Judy McDonald of Athens, and Margaret Campbell of Muscle Shoals; and five grandchildren, Josh Campbell, Eric Campbell, Katie Campbell, Samuel Campbell and Brian Alsup.

Letha Dell Franks
Letha Dell Franks, age 84, of Red Bay, passed away Friday, April 1, 2005, at Care Center of Red Bay.
Mrs. Franks was born January 22, 1921, in Red Bay to Buck and Florence Ozbirn. She was employed by Blue Bell for 38 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Belmont, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eithel Franks; her son, Jerome Franks; and her parents.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harold Ozbirn and Mike Deaton officiating. Interment was in Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mike Dillard, Kevin Dillard, Tyler Jinkins, Casey Jinkins, Patrick Mansell and Jason Allison.
Mrs. Franks is survived by two daughters, Pam Jinkins and husband Bill, of Red Bay, and Barbara Ann Dillard and husband Fred, of Memphis, Tennessee; a sister, Dearcie Franks of Philadelphia, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Dillard, Fred Michael Dillard, and Kevin Nolan and wife Mandi, all of Memphis, Tennessee, and Tyler Jinkins and Casey Jinkins, both of Red Bay; and seven great-grandchildren, Shara Allison of Golden, Mississippi, Patrick Mansell of Red Bay, and Angel Dillard, Drew Dillard, Christian Dillard, Lexi Dillard and Nolan Dillard, all of Memphis, Tennessee.
