Six months after Ivan, state still recovering

Six months after Hurricane Ivan pounded the Alabama gulf coast and left a path of destruction across the state, federal and state money is still being doled out to help families and businesses rebuild.
State and local governments, as well as individuals, households and businesses, have received nearly three-quarters of a billion dollars in disaster response and recovery aid from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Alabama Emergency Management Agency.
