New Courthouse to Be Opened Next Sunday
Formal opening of Franklin County's new $450,000 native limestone Courthouse will be held Sunday, March 20, from 1-6 p.m., the Board of Revenue announced last Monday.
The Courthouse was accepted as completed by the Board on recommendation of Johnson &Jones, architects for the building.
The Board Tuesday was still undecided as to when the new building will be occupied, but said the move probably will begin Monday, March 21.
150 Attend 4-H Party for Franklin Leaders
One hundred fifty 4-H local leaders, club presidents and guests attended the Franklin 4-H Leaders Party, Thursday night, March 10, at the Grammar School cafeteria.
They were served a barbecue plate, the compliments of Barclift Furniture Co. Theme for the decoration was "Pulling Together to Improve Family and Community Living." Decoration was in the 4-H colors–green and white.
