Services for Charlie Goodman will be held today at 3 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home. Burial will be in Barham Cemetery.
Mr. Goodman, 64, of Meridian, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at his home. He worked in the timber business for 45 years. He never complained and was a friend to everybody. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Goodman, his three children, Steve Goodman and his wife, Tracy, Greg Goodman and his wife, Janie, and Michelle Allen; his two stepchildren, Sheila Davidson and her husband, Tony, and Shan Sellers and his wife, Lori; his three grandchildren, John and Leslie Goodman and Jake Allen; four step-grandchildren, Josh and Taylor Davidson, and Chloe and Sonny Sellers; his brother, Waymon Goodman and his wife, Frances; sisters, Margie Walker, Agnes Zaiontz and her husband, Frank, Darcus Edgeworth and her husband, Ronnie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Goodman and Elsie May Taylor Goodman; three sisters, Juanita McDaniels, Louvenia Lollar and Peggie Farley.
Pallbearers will be John Goodman, Floyd Wade, Jeff Jackson, Doug Goodman, Joe Dobbins and David Ward. Honorary pallbearers will be T.J. Presswood, Jimbo Shaw, Charlie Allen, Jimmy Mason, Jake Allen and Mr. Goodman's nephews.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Services for Catherine Johns Myers will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Browning officiating.
Mrs. Myers, 57, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Soso and owner and operator of her own salon for more than 30 years. She was also in the antiques business.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Moser of Memphis, Tenn.; sons, Marcus Johns and his wife, Kim of Shubuta and Anthony Johns of Meridian; a granddaughter, Marly Johns of Shubuta; a sister, Jackie Stennett of Hattiesburg; brothers, Bobby Coats and Kyle Coats, both of Soso and Alan Coats of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna Earl Coats and Jack Coats and her husband, Chuck Myers.
Memorials may be made to the National Diabetes Association.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Services for Fred H. Crosby Jr. will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Crosby officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Toomsuba with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Crosby, 85, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice. He was a deacon at First Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Crosby, and a son, Fred Crosby III and his wife, Sandra, all of Meridian; nine grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hazel Crosby and four siblings.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Services for W.F. "Bill" Sanders will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Sanders, 76, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Kosciusko and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. After his military service, he became a long time resident of New Orleans, where he served the city as Director of Fiscal and Property Management for nearly 20 years. His longing for his native Mississippi remained a part of him until he returned and began the position of garage superintendent for the City of Meridian in June 1980. He enjoyed the people who worked with him, and contributing to the growth of a city he cared for deeply. A tireless and dedicated worker, Mr. Sanders, was responsible for the modernization and improvements of many of the processes involved with the operation of the City's garage until his retirement in May 1999.
He will be remembered as a loving and committed father and husband, who will be missed deeply.
Survivors include his wife, Gerda E. Sanders of Meridian, formerly of Kostrzyn, Germany; sons, William M. Sanders and his wife, Kasia Sims, of New Orleans and George D. Sanders and his wife, Karen, of Bellingham, Wash.; grandchildren, Stephenie Fricke and Nicholas Dunaway; a brother, James R. Sanders and his wife, Elaine, of Clarksdale.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Martha R. McShepard of Dekalb, who died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at her home.
