Four arrested for selling cocaine

A combined effort from Alabama Beverage Control agents, Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies, District Attorney investigators and officers with the Russellville Police Department resulted in the arrest of three men and one woman on charges of cocaine trafficking late Tuesday afternoon.
A spokesman for the Franklin County Sheriff's Department said Quindle Chase Terry, 17, of 100 Elizabeth Street in Muscle Shoals; John Clint Grissom, 22, of 165 McCormick Lane in Leighton; Jessy Leann Reding, 19, of 470 Wilson Lake Shores in Muscle Shoals and Vinnis Minoso Oates, 21, of 843 Robert Goodloe Street in Leighton were all charged with trafficking in cocaine, a Class A felony, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The trafficking charge carries a potential sentence of life in prison.
Investigators said an ongoing drug investigation led to an undercover operation at a business near the intersection of the Franklin, Lawrence and Colbert County lines. The suspects then fled the scene and were stopped several miles down the road in the edge of Colbert County.
Officers took custody of the four at the scene and seized 3 oz. of cocaine, with a street value of approximately $10,000.
Also, a 1993 red Honda Civic and $1,900 in cash was seized by law enforcement agents.
Reding was released from the Franklin County Jail on bond totaling $30,000.
Oates is being held in jail on $50,000 bond, Grissom on $75,000 bond, and Terry on bond totaling $30,000.
Investigators said Grissom and Oates have a criminal history and also face charges in Colbert County.
