Humane Society hosts adoption day

Volunteers expect to have as many as 20 puppies and kittens available for adoption. Many of them have already been spayed or neutered.
Lee encourages anyone who may be interested in an animal to come to the mall Saturday and help out the Humane Society. She warns, however, that no one should make a rushed decision about adopting a pet.
Lee stresses that unwanted pets are not to be dropped off at the mall.
Lauderdale County Humane Society volunteers shelter animals at their homes until permanent homes can be found. Volunteers are needed for numerous projects, not just fostering. Lee invites anyone who may be interested in becoming a volunteer to stop by the mall Saturday to talk.
